The company appoints seasoned software executive Ken Bado as a member of the Board of Directors; adds Amazon Web Services as its newest global enterprise customer.
San Francisco, CA, June 21, 2016—Cloudwords today announced it has appointed Richard Harpham as President and CEO, and named Ken Bado, former EVP of Sales and Services for Autodesk, as a member of the Cloudwords Board of Directors. The company also announced Amazon Web Services (AWS), TASER International and Tektronics as its newest customers, joining Cloudwords’ growing list of global enterprise organizations that are leveraging its technology to accelerate the expansion of multilingual global marketing efforts.
With more than 20 years of experience launching products into global markets, as well as early start-up ventures that have successfully attracted both investment and eventual acquisition, Harpham will build upon Cloudwords’ established momentum as an essential solution for global marketers. Prior to Cloudwords, Harpham held executive positions at Autodesk, M-SIX, and Calgary Scientific. He previously held the role of vice president of sales and marketing at Cloudwords.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead Cloudwords in our mission to transform how marketers approach the process of creating and delivering localized content for global markets. Cloudwords continues to attract the attention of major brands, and customers recognize the value the platform brings to their global marketing efforts and top-line revenue,” said Harpham. “I look forward to building on our growth in the marketplace.”
As a member of Cloudwords’ Board of Directors, Bado will play a strategic role in the company’s continued growth. Bado has held senior sales and executive leadership positions in technology companies for more than 30 years and has extensive experience advising software companies. From 2002 through 2010, Bado served as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Services for design, engineering and entertainment software company Autodesk. During this time, Autodesk grew from $800 million to more than $2.3 billion in annual revenue.
“Cloudwords continues to gain significant traction within this space, and their progress to date is impressive,” said Bado. “With the addition of Amazon Web Services, among other new customer wins, I am thrilled to see the team develop and execute to further position the company firmly within the global marketing ecosystem. I look forward to working with Richard and the Cloudwords team and guiding them toward further success.”
“I am excited to see Cloudwords accelerating its growth with the addition of Richard as CEO and Ken as a board member. Both have built global businesses and understand the needs of the global marketer. Through Cloudwords’ close integration with marketing automation platforms, marketers have quickly expanded their marketing automation to all global markets,” said Tae Hea Nahm, Founding General Partner at Storm Ventures and board member of Cloudwords and Marketo.
